Spencer Moore
2006: Moore will see time at either defensive back position for the Aggies in 2006.
2005 (Junior): Moore played in 11 of the Aggies’ 12 games in 2005, as a defensive back. He tallied 15 tackles on the season, eight of those being solo efforts, with one tackle for a loss. Moore recorded a season-high three tackles twice, against Hawai’i (10/15) and Fresno State (10/8). He also recorded at least one tackle in 10 of the 11 games he played.
2004 (Sophomore): Moore played in 10 of the Aggies’ 11 games in 2004, as a reserve cornerback, missing the Troy University game (9/17). On the season, Moore had 15 tackles, 11 of those tackles were solo efforts. Against Arkansas (9/4) Moore recorded two tackles, he then collected one tackle per game over the next three contests. Versus Florida International (10/30), Moore had two solo tackles and an assisted tackle. In the team’s final game of the season against Utah State (11/20), Moore recorded a season-high four tackles, all solo.
2003 (Redshirt Freshman): Moore became a starter in the fourth game of the season and did not relinquish that position. He finished tied for sixth in total tackles with 45, including 28 solo tackles. Moore had his best game of the season against Utah State (11/6). Moore had a career-high eight tackles and broke up two passes in the Aggies’ 26-21 victory. In his first career start, Moore intercepted a pass against the New Mexico Lobos (9/27), on the first drive of the game. He had six tackles against Idaho (10/4), and five against Middle Tennessee (10/11), and UL Monroe (10/25).
2002 (Freshman): Moore was a redshirt his first year at NMSU.
High School: Spencer was named the most valuable player at Valley View High School. He was named to the All-League and All-County teams.
Personal: Spencer W. Moore was born in Bell Power, California, and is the son of Trisha Allen. He is majoring in Electrical Engineering Technologies.
