Biography

2010 (Sophomore): Rogers played in all 12 games for the Aggies in 2010, as a wide receiver and a kick returner. Rogers was named a second team all-WAC selection after finishing the season with 1,410 kick return yards on 52 attempts, setting a new school record in both categories. He currently ranks in the top-5 in kick return yardage, kick return attempts and kick return average for a career at NM State as well. Rogers also caught 18 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns, while leading the team in all-purpose yards with 145.2 yards per game. Over the first four games of the season, Rogers only returned kicks for the Aggies, collecting 482 yards on 18 returns. During that stretch, Rogers broke the school record for return yards in a single game with 219 against Kansas (Sept. 25). His first reception of the season came against in-state rival New Mexico (Oct. 9). Versus Fresno State (Oct. 16), Rogers caught one pass for a season-long 47 yards, while recording 127 kick return yards. He would tally over 100 yards in kick return yardage in eight games including 185 yards, second most of the season against Hawai'i (Nov. 27) in the season finale.

Antelope Valley College: Rogers was a standout wide receiver for the Antelope Valley Marauders in 2009. He caught 26 passes for 517 yards and six touchdowns in his one year with the Marauders. Rogers averaged 19.9 yards per catch and 64.6 yards receiving per game. He was a second team all-conference selection in 2009. Rogers would transfer to Antelope Valley College from the College of the Canyons where he played in 2008. While with College of the Canyons, Rogers caught just one pass but returned six kickoffs for 242 yards, including a 91 yard touchdown return.

High School: Rogers played both running back and wide receiver for Lancaster High School. he was named the team's most valuable player in both 2007 and 2008. Rogers also ran track and was the 100-meter and 200-meter Golden League champion in 2007 and 2008.

Personal: Rogers is the son of Selassic Burke and Lakatish Magee. He plans to major in criminal justice while at NM State.
