2009 (Junior): Epenesa did not play for the Aggies in 2009.

San Diego CC: Epenesa played two seasons at San Diego Community College, where he tallied 184 tackles, 97 solo efforts, 15 tackles for a loss, two interceptions and three forced fumbles. In 2008, he helped his team to a 7-4 record and an appearance in the state playoffs. He earned linebacker of the year honors and all-League honors twice.

High School: Epenesa was a three-year letter winner at Rancho Bernardo High School. He helped his team to three straight league championships and a three-year combined record of 28-8. He was named a first team all-League selection his junior and seniors years and was picked as a second team all-CIF-San Diego section in 2008. Epenesa was also selected to the San Diego All-Star game his senior year.

Personal: Epenesa is the son of Eric and Karen Epenesa. He plans to major in individualized studies while at NM State.
