2003 (Junior): Jones played in all 12 games last year, mainly on special teams. He registered one tackle, a fourth quarter sack for 11 yards against Western New Mexico (9/16).

2002 (Sophomore): Travis played in seven of 12 games as a sophomore after missing spring practice because of a knee injury. Travis recorded 12 tackles (three solo, nine assisted), recovered one fumble and recorded one tackle for a loss. Travis recovered a fumble and recorded one tackle against South Carolina (8/31) in the season opener. He recorded a career-high six tackles (three solo, three assisted) against Utah State (11/9). 2001 (Freshman): Jones played in 11 of 12 games as a true freshman, finishing with 24 total tackles. He had a season high five tackles against North Texas (11/3). Jones also had four tackles against nationally ranked Texas (9/1) and Tulsa (10/6). He suffered a torn ACL and a broken leg in the final game of the season at New Mexico (11/24). His 24 tackles were the most for an Aggie freshman since D’Wayne Taylor led the Aggies in tackles as a freshman in 1998 with 73.

High School: Jones was a two-year starter at linebacker for coach Gary Meek at Esperanza High School in Anaheim, California. He helped Esperanza to a #7 ranking in the state of California and #22 nationally his senior season. He was a first team all-Sunset League pick and received a Scholar Athlete Award from the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. He graduated with a 4.2 grade point average. He also lettered four years in track, finishing eighth in the state in the shot with a throw of 58-4.5.

Personal: Travis Terrell Jones was born in Marina del Rey, California and is the son of Arthur and Valerie Jones. He is majoring in Finance.
