Biography

2004: Travis enters fall camp in a battle for the starting tight end job.

2003 (Sophomore): Samuel played in the first seven games of the season as the team’s number two tight end before suffering a season ending injury. He caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown. He caught a 19-yard pass for touchdown against UL Lafayette (10/16), the final game of his season.

2002 (Redshirt Freshman): Travis played in all 12 games for the Aggies in 2002 earning his first letter.

2001 (Freshman): Samuel redshirted his first year at New Mexico State.

High School: Travis played at Las Cruces High School as a senior. Samuel was named all-district tight end and played in the North-South All-Star football game.

Personal: Travis Samuel was born in Kalamazoo, Mich. and is the son of Aggie head coach Tony Samuel and his mother, Diane Samuel. Samuel is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
