High School: Trujillo was a four-time state qualifier while running track and field with the Hilltoppers at Los Alamos High School. She was an individual state champion in the 100 and 200-meter dash as a junior in 2008. She recorded a best time in the 100-meter time of 12.23 seconds and 25.74 seconds in the 200-meter. She was also a state runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles during her junior season. She helped the Hilltoppers to four consecutive district championships as well as a state championship title in 2006. The team finished second at the state meet in 2007 and third in 2008.

Personal: Trujillo is the daughter of Ron and Peggy Trujillo. She was born in Las Cruces, N.M., and plans to major in business administration.
