New Mexico State University Athletics

High School:  Hicks is a 2008 graduate of Lancaster High School in Dallas, Texas where she lettered in cross country and track and field all four years.  During her junior season she led her team to their seventh-consecutive state championship and to a fifth-place district 4-A finish.  Her first two years of high school was spent at Desoto High School where she led the team to a regional championship and placed fourth at the district meet.  As a freshman Hicks assisted the team in a district title and was a regional finalist. She specializes in the 800-meter run and has recorded a personal-best time of 2:21.  She also participated in the 400-meter dash and clocked a personal-best of 59.00.  Hicks was named to the honor roll every year of high school, was a member of the student council and the National Honor Society.

Personal:  Hicks is the daughter of Ray and Tammy Clark.  She is majoring in biochemistry at NMSU.
