Biography
2008 Outdoor (Sophomore): Durden competed in the 100-meter and the 200-meter dash for the Aggies last season. She recorded her strongest time of the year at the WAC Championships (May 15-17). In the 100-meter dash Durden crossed the finish line in a time of 12.62 and in the 200-meter dash she clocked a time of 25.34.
2007-08 Indoor: Durden competed in the sprints for NMSU during the indoor season. She recorded a season-best mark in the 55-meter dash at the Texas Tech Invitational (Jan. 26) with a time of 7.55. During the WAC Championships (Feb. 28- March 1) Durden recorded her strongest marks in both the 60-meter dash and in the 200-meter dash of 8.03 and 26.28, respectively.
2007 (Freshman) Outdoor: Durden added strong depth to the sprinters for the Aggies. At the Don Kirby Memorial Invitational (April 28) she recorded a season-best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.52, a seventh place finish and in the 200-meter dash she posted a time of 26.13, good enough for 11th place.
Indoor: At the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 23-24) Durden posted a lifetime best in the 200-meter dash, stopping the clock at 26.55. At the TRC Race Productions Invitational (2/9-10/07), she recorded a season best time of 8.13 in the 60-meter dash.
High School: Durden was a sprinter for Farmington High School from 2002-2005. She led her team to a state 4A championship in 2004 and three district championships in 2002-04. While at Farmington High School, Durden set a new district record in the 100-meter dash and finished second at the state meet in the 100-meter dash. She is also a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that set a state record. Durden recorded a 12.23 personal best in the 100-meter dash.
Personal: Durden is the daughter of Clyde and Enid Durden. She is pursuing a degree in biology/ Pre-Med.
