Finished second in the shot put at the Arizona State Championships... 2018 MVP in field events at Arcadia High School... 2019 MVP in field events at Queen Creek High School... School record holder in the Discus at Arcadia and Queen Creek... Was a member of the honor roll all four years in high school.

Personal: Makiya is the daughter of Kevin Moore and Michelin Smith... She has one sister, Mazaree... Makiya will be majoring in Kinesiology at NM State.
