2012 Indoor (Senior): Montoya was named to the academic all-WAC team in 2012.  competed in the pole vault for the Aggies during the 2012 indoor season.  Montoya posted her season-best height of 2.70m at the New Mexico Cherry and Silver Invitational (Jan. 20).  Montoya’s mark in the event was her career-best and currently sits at ninth all-time for NM State.

2011 Outdoor (Senior): Montoya participated in five events for the Aggies in the 2011 outdoor season.  Montoya posted her season-best height of 2.90m at the UTEP Springtime.  Montoya also vaulted a height of 2.66m at the UTEP Invitational.

2011 Indoor (Senior): Montoya participated in three pole-vaulting events for the Aggies in the 2011 indoor season.  Montoya posted her best height of 2.64m for the pole vault at the New Mexico Cherry and Silver Invitational. 

2010 Outdoor (Junior): Montoya did not compete during the 2010 outdoor season. 

2010 Indoor (Junior): Montoya had a season-high mark of 2.65m in the pole vault, which is seventh in NM State history.  Montoya accomplished this height twice during the season, once at the New Mexico Cherry and Silver Invitational and once at the New Mexico Invitational.  Both meets were held in Albuquerque, N.M.

2008 Outdoor (Freshman):  Montoya did not compete during the 2008 outdoor season.

2008 Indoor (Freshman): Montoya did not compete during the 2008 indoor season.

High School: Montoya was a 2007 graduate of Grants High School where she lettered in track and field, soccer, basketball and swimming all four years. As a senior, Montoya placed fifth in state with a jump of 8-0 and as a junior, she placed sixth in state with a matching high jump of 8-0. She was also named athlete of the year as a senior, an honor roll member and graduated sixth in her class.

Personal: Montoya was born in Lordsburg, N.M., and is the daughter of Richard and Kelli Montoya. She is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
