2009 Outdoor (Junior): Adding significant depth to the Aggie throwers, Barnard posted two season-best marks in the month of April. The first strong mark came in El Paso, Texas, at the UTEP Invitational (April 11), when she recorded a distance of 122-4 in the discus throw. Then a week later, at the Long Beach State Invitational (April 18), she recorded a throw of 151-8.5 in the hammer.
Indoor: In her third indoor season, Barnard competed in the weight throw and recorded a season-best mark of 49-11.75 at the New Mexico Lobo Opener (Jan. 17).
2008 Outdoor (Sophomore): Barnard competed in the discus and the hammer throw for the Aggies in 2008. She recorded personal-best throws in both events at the 2008 WAC Championships (May 15-17). In the discus, Barnard threw a mark of 158-7 and in the hammer she tallied a launch of 131-2. The mark in the hammer throw also ranks her 10th on the NM State all-time record list.
2007-08 Indoor: Barnard participated in all throwing events for the Aggies during the indoor season. She recorded a personal-best mark in the weight throw at the Texas Tech Invitational (Jan. 18) with a throw of 49-04.50, which placed her fifth overall and ninth on the NM State all-time record list. At the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 28- March 1), Barnard recorded a lifetime-best mark in the shot put with a toss of 46-10.25.
2007 Outdoor (Freshman): Barnard participated in all of the throwing events for the Aggies. At the Triton Invitational (April 21), in San Diego, Calif., she posted a season best in the discus with a launch of 131-03, this mark places her 10th in the NM State record book and she also posted a mark of 141-08 in the hammer throw, which also places her 10th. At the UTEP Springtime Invitational (April 24) Barnard posted a lifetime best in the shot put with a throw of 38-01.25, with an 11th-place finish.
High School: Barnard was state runner-up in the shot put for two years and lettered in track and field all four years at Farmington High School. She won first place, second place two times and third place at state in the shot put and discus between 2002-06.
Personal: Barnard is the daughter of Allen and Alice Barnard. She is majoring in chemical engineering.
