2009 Outdoor: Grimes did not compete during the 2009 outdoor season.
Indoor: Grimes did not compete in the 2008-09 indoor season.
2008 Outdoor (Junior): Grimes was a leading thrower for the Aggies during the outdoor season. She set the NM State javelin record and ranks second on the NM State all-time list in the hammer. Grimes earned a spot on the first team All-WAC and competed at the NCAA Midwest Regional Meet, while being the only Aggie to throw in two events. At the regional meet, Grimes recorded a distance of 168-03 in the hammer throw and a distance of 151-08 in the javelin throw, which placed her 13th and 14th overall, respectively. Grimes set the school record in the javelin throw at the WAC Championships (May 15-17), when she threw a 12-foot personal-best of 154-04. She earned her second-place ranking in the hammer throw at the Ram Open (April 19), when she recorded launch of 179-01.
Indoor: Grimes competed in the weight throw and the shot put for the Aggies during the indoor season. She recorded her best throw of the season in the weight throw during the first meet of the year at the Texas Tech Invitational (Jan. 18), heaving 51-00.75, which is good enough for a seventh-place rank on NM State all-time record list. In the shot put, Grimes recorded a launch of 47-07.25 at the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 28-March 1).
2007 Outdoor (Sophomore): Grimes competed in various throwing events for the Aggies. At the Don Kirby Invitational (April 28), Grimes recorded a lifetime best, marking her named into the NM State all-time record book (third place) in the hammer with a throw of 169-08 and also placed fourth in the javelin throw with a toss of 123-08.
Indoor: At the Dan DeHart Invitational (Jan. 27), Grimes posted a solid mark of 47-9.75 in the weight throw.
2006 Outdoor (Freshman): Grimes competed at the WAC Outdoor Championships in the javelin and the hammer throw. She took ninth in the javelin with a throw of 137-07. Grimes recorded the school's third best throw in the javelin with a toss of 141-03 at the Michael Johnson Invitational.
Indoor: Grimes competed in the weight throw for the Aggies in 2006.
High School: Grimes was a district, state and regional champion in the javelin for Farmington High School in 2005. Grimes was the state champion in the javelin her junior season and runner-up her senior season. She was also a member of the volleyball team where she was named player of the year and participated in the North/South All-Star game in volleyball and basketball. Grimes also competed in basketball helping her team to a district championship and a state runner-up finish.
Personal: Grimes is the daughter of Richard and Rebecca Grimes.
