Biography
2013 Indoor (Junior): Bojorquez competed in a wide variety of events for the Aggies in the 2013 indoor track and field season, including the 800m, 1,000m, 1-mile, and the 3,000m. Bojorquez ran her best time 3,000m of the season at the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 21) in a time of 10:19.37, placing her 10th all-time for NM State. Bojorquez also competed in the 4,000m distance medley at the WAC Championships, posting a time of 12:30.79. Bojorquez ran her best 1-mile time at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic (Feb. 1), finishing with a time of 5:21.78. Bojorquez ran the 800m at the New Mexico Cherry and Silver Invitational (Jan. 18) and the 1,000m at the Texas Tech Open (Jan. 12) as well. Her time in the 1,000m was a 3:11.97, placing her sixth all-time for NM State.
2012 Cross Country (Junior): After transferring to NM State from Central Arizona College, Bojorquez made an immediate impact on the cross country team, competing in five of the seven events for the Aggies in the 2012 season. Bojorquez's best overall finish came at the Grand Canyon Invitational (Oct. 6) where she finished first for NM State and fourth overall with a time of 18:36.0 in the 5K. Bojorquez earned the title Western Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 1-7 due to her performance at the Grand Canyon Invitational. Bojorquez posted her best time of the season at the WAC Championships (Oct. 27) when she finished in a time of 18:24.20 to finish third for NM State and 22nd overall. Bojorquez finished in the top five for NM State in all of the remaining meets. Bojorquez ran at the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 7) where she finished fifth overall and second for NM State with a time of 19:21.78. Bojorquez finished fifth for NM State and 12th overall at the Kachina Classic (Sept. 15) with a time of 19:01. Bojorquez finished fourth for NM State and 52nd overall at the Rim Rock Classic (Sept. 29) in a time of 22:37.80 in the 6K. Bojorquez wrapped up her season at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships where she finished third for NM State with a time of 23:46.0 in the 6K.
Prior to NM State: Bojorquez is transferring to NM State from Central Arizona College, a NJCAA school, where she ran track and cross country from 2010-12. Bojorquez helped her cross country team place fourth at nationals in 2010 and second in nationals in 2011. In track, Bojorquez was apart of a team that finished second in nationals in 2011 and third in nationals in 2012. Bojorquez was a cross country regional champion in 2011 and placed eighth as a national All-American in cross country that same year. Bojorquez also finished third in the mile and third in the 3,000m for the Nationals Indoor 2012.
High School: Bojorquez attended Independence High School in Glendale, Ariz., where she ran track and cross country.
Personal: Bojorquez was born in Phoenix, Ariz., and is the daughter of Carlos and Sara Bojorquez. She plans to major in social work.
