Biography

2009 Outdoor (Sophomore): Blanco did not compete during the 2009 outdoor season.

Indoor:
  Blanco was a strong pole vaulter for the Aggies during the indoor season.  She recorded her best leap of 10-6.25 at the Northern Arizona Invitational (Feb. 14).


2008 Outdoor (Freshman):  
Blanco competed in the pole vault for the Aggies during the outdoor season.  At the 18th annual Don Kirby Invitational (May 3) in Albuquerque, N.M., Blanco recorded season-best leap of 11-1.75.  This mark ranks her second on NMSU all-time outdoor record list.


Indoor:  
Blanco was a standout pole vaulter for NMSU during the indoor season.  At the 2008 Indoor WAC Championships (Feb. 29-March 1), she not only recorded a season-best mark of 10-05.25, but she also etched her name onto the NMSU all-time indoor record list in second place.


High School:
Blanco is a pole vaulter from Farmington, N.M., where she lettered in track and field since the eighth grade. As a junior and senior, Blanco was the pole vaulting state champion and during her senior year she was the 1-4A district champion as well. She was also a member of the volleyball team.


Personal:
Blanco is the daughter of Cindy and Charlie Blanco and is pursuing a degree in speech pathology.
