Summer 1996: Won the Montrose Golf Club Championship... Earned medalist honors at the Junior Western Chapter Championship for second time in three years... Finished third at both the Aspen AJGA National Tourney with score of 216 and the Colorado Men's West Amateur with a total of 217... Represented Colorado on the America's Cup team.

High School: Played four years of golf at Montrose High School... Led team to a first place tie in the state in Class 4A as a senior... Earned medalist honors in five tournaments as a senior...
