Biography
Senior: Davis did not compete during the 2005-06 season due to a red shirt season.
Junior: Davis competed in two tournaments for the Aggies in the 2004-05 season. His best performance was at the Northwest Collegiate Classic in Corvallis, Ore., where he finished at 13 over par, shooting 71-80-78-229. He finished the season with an average of 77.83, with his low round of 71 coming at the Northwest Collegiate Classic.
Sophomore: Nordell competed in three tournaments for the Aggies. He finished the season with a 76.00 scoring average. His best finish came at the Herb Wimberly Classic (3/8-9) where he finished in a tie for 25th with scores of 75-75-70--220. His 70 in the final round was a season-low round. He also competed at the Bill Cullum/Countrywide Intercollegiate (1-/20-21) where he tied for 37th with scores of 71-77-74--222.
Freshman: He competed in four events as a freshman and shot a three-round 238 at the William H. Tucker Invitational. He tied for 41st at the Wichita State Invitational where he shot a season low-round 76 and recorded a three-round score of 237. He placed 46th at the Sun Belt Conference Championships with a three round score of 242.
High School: Davis won 14 tournaments in high school and compiled a 74.5 scoring average in 38 rounds. He was named the 2002 El Paso High School Player of the Year and was named First Team All-District 1-5A from 1999-2002. He was named First Team All-El Paso from 2000-2002 and First Team All-5A Region in 2001. He won the 2001 District 1-5A Individual Championship and the 2001 El Paso Junior Championship. He also won the 2002 Mesilla Valley Men's Amateur Championship.
Personal: Davis McLean Nordell was born in El Paso, Texas. He is the son of Leonard and Nancy Nordell. He is majoring in Business Management.
