Biography

2015-16: Was third on the team during his junior campaign with a 75.14 stroke average…opened the season with a top-25 finish at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, posting a 3-over 219…followed up with a T11 performance at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate (4-over 217)…tied for 31st at the All-America Intercollegiate with a 6-over 222 card…his 10-over 226 card at the Western Athletic Conference Championship tied him for 20th.
 
2014-15: Competed in all 10 tournaments and posted a 73.53 stroke average, good for fourth on the team…one of three Aggies to win individual medalist honors that season…opened the year with a win at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate with a 7-under 206 performance, tying with teammate Brett Walker…followed up with a 10-under 206 card at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational, tying for ninth…tied for 13th at the Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M with a 7-over 223 weekend…tied for 10th to help NM State win its eight Western Athletic Conference Championship in 10 years with a 3-over 219 weekend…earned first-team honors for his efforts…tied for 59th in his first NCAA Regional appearance.
 
2013-14: Competed in six tournaments as a freshman with a 76.44 stroke average…best finish came at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational where he shot 4-over par and tied for 32nd…shot the best round of the season that same tournament, firing in a 5-under 67.
 
High School: Played golf at Montverde Academy in Florida…led the team to a sixth-place finish at the state championships…earned Second-Team Rolex Junior All-American by the American Junior Golf Association…was a runner-up at the Genesis Shootout Texas Valero in 2012…took tired at the Mexican Amateur and fourth at the Golf Pride AJGA, and sixth at the Woodlands AJGA Tournament…came in 11th-place in 2013 at the Golfweek Celebration in Florida…was ranked in the top-50 in the AJGA Polo Golf rankings and also finished in the top-20 amongst his graduate class…was ranked No. 2 in the Mexican Federation for 2008-09 season.
 
Personal: Son of Francisco Medina and Aida Iruegas…majoring in geology.
