2017-18: Competed in 12 tournaments, playing 36 rounds as a redshirt junior…had a career best finish at the Herb Wimberly Invitational where he placed 3^rd…shot a career-low 68-69-68 – 205 (-8) at the Herb Wimberly Invitational…finished tied for 17^th at the WAC Championship shooting a 14-over 224…posted a stroke average of 74.14 that leads all returners and good for second on the team (min. 20 rounds).

2016-17: Competed in 10 tournaments as a sophomore...posted four top-25 finishes...fired a season-low score of 214 (-2) at the Cal Poly Shootout...had the top individual finish for NM State at the WAC Championship in a tie for fifth at 216 (+3)...recorded a stroke average of 75.86 over 29 rounds of play.

2015-16: Finished his redshirt freshman campaign with a 75.69 stroke average through 10 tournaments…best finish came at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate where he competed as an individual and shot 3-over 216…tied for 16th a week later at the Prices Give ‘Em Five Invitational where he shot a career-low 65…recorded another top-25 finish at the National Invitational Tournament with a 1-under 215 card, tying for 22nd…tied for 16th at the Western Athletic Conference Championship …earned WAC All-Academic honors.
 
2014-15: Redshirted.
 
High School: Earned Chandler All-District Boys Golf honors as a junior after leading Perry High School to a fourth-place finish at the state finals…placed third at the 2013 Arizona Publinks Championship with a 3-under 207…tied for third at the PING Phoenix Junior in 2014…placed 65th at the San Diego Junior Masters with a 159…played in dozens of Junior Golf Association of Arizona tournaments since 2005, finishing in the top-five 25 times and capturing wins on six different occasions…participated in the First Tee Open at Pebble Beach as a freshman and sophomore…was a member of the student newspaper and earned writer of the year in 2014.
 
Personal: Son of Mike and Luci McGilton…has an older sister, Maria, and a younger sister, Malia…majoring in journalism.
