Biography
2017-18: Played in 33 rounds over eight tournaments with a 74.70 stroke average, good for third on the team (min. 20 rounds)…three top-10 finishes on the year…he tied for 7th at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate posting an even 213, the best finish of his career…placed 9th at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational shooting a 1-under 212…finished 9th at the WAC Championship firing a 9-over 21…posted a career low round of 67 at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invite.
2016-17: Played in 17 rounds over six tournaments with a 73.35 stroke average... had the best finish of his career when he tied for 13th at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate...shot his best 18-hole total, 70, at the National Invitational.
2015-16: Saw action in two tournaments as a freshman with a 73.83 stroke average…posted a 73-74-75 – 222 (+9) card at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate as an individual and tied for 29th…finished in a tie for 57th at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational with a 5-over 221 card.
Prior to NM State: Was in the one percent in North Harbour and New Zealand according to New Zealand Golf…member of New Zealand Golf that competed in Srixon International Junior Classic in Australia in 2014…one of 15 recipients of the Don Oliver Youth Sports Award Scholarship in 2014…tied for second at the North Island Men’s U19 Championship to start 2015 with a 1-under 215 card…his 2-over 146 card and sixth-place finish at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Final guided Massey High School to a secondary school championship in the spring of 2015.
Personal: Son of Ross Campbell and Sally Hicks…majoring in kinesiology.
