Biography

Junior (2009-10): Morales played during the fall, going 4-7 during 2009.  During the 11 matches Morales played, only one of them went to three sets.  Morales defeated opponents from Air Force, UNM, Utah State, and Northern Arizona.  Morales played with Arthur Surreaux, Luke Salazar, and Matej Stakne during doubles matches, going 2-6 overall.

Prior to NM State: Morales graduated from Andress High School in El Paso, Texas, and spent two seasons at Seminole State College in Semi­nole, Okla., before transferring to NM State. At SSC, Morales complied a 40-10 singles record at the No. 4 position under coach Bryan Nelson. He helped the Trojans finish fifth in the nation both years he was at SSC. In his prep days at Andress, he was the Texas 1-4A District Champion in 2006-07, the 2007 Texas Regional Champion and a semifinalist at state as a senior.

Personal: Morales was born in El Paso, Texas, and is the son of Darlene and Armando Morales. He is majoring in aerospace engineering.
