New Mexico State University Athletics

2012-13 (Junior): Competing only during the fall tournament season of 2012, Carvalho went 1-3 at the UNM Balloon Fiesta Invitational with fellow freshman Jeremy Harlas. The duo took an 8-6 win over Air Force in the consolation round after falling to WAC foe No. 58 Denver. Carvalho and his partner suffered two more losses in the consolation bracket of the tournament. The freshman saw action in just one doubles match during the spring duals season. He and senior Luis Ramirez battled an 8-6 loss to UT Permian Basin at the No. 3 spot. Carvalho saw action five times on the singles courts, with a tough 0-5 record coming in the fall.

Prior to NM State:  Carvalho played on the junior circuit in Brazil and was in the top 45 on the Brazilian junior's ranking in the under-18 category.  He was also top 5 from the state of São Paulo in the under-18 category.

Personal:  Carvalho is from São Paulo, Brazil, and is majoring in Economics and Finance at NM State.
