Biography
Junior (2006-07): Pfeifer competed in the spring dual match season at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions for the Aggies, going 1-1 at the fifth position and 1-4 at sixth. In doubles play, he teamed up with Gustave Diep and Luka Stupar, compiling a 5-4 record all at the No. 3 spot. He went 3-2 with Diep and 2-2 with Stupar. In the fall tournament season, Pfeifer went 8-9 in singles play and was 1-4 in doubles play, all while paired up with Alejandro de Mucha. His overall record from the 2006-07 season was 10-14 in singles and 6-8 in doubles.
Sophomore (2005-06): Pfeifer was a 2006 Academic All-WAC Team selection with his 3.48 Grade Point Average in business management. He had a 5-6 singles record on the year, all at the No. 6 singles spot. In doubles play, he sported a 3-2 record alongside partner Ricardo Gorostiaga and a 0-7 record with Christian Halligan all at the No. 3 position. In the fall, Pfeifer went 1-9 in singles play and 3-6 in doubles action.
Freshman (2004-05): Pfeifer competed at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions for the Aggies and compiled a record of 2-21. His two wins came in straight sets over Abilene Christian and the Air Force Academy. In spring doubles play, Pfeifer played alongside partners Ben Archer-Clowes (0-3), Luis Avila (0-4) and Christian Halligan (0-1). His overall doubles record as a freshman was 1-14.
Prior to NMSU: Pfeifer was a doubles state champion twice in his high school career. He was also all-district in the 4A division. He served as team captain for the tennis team at Silver City High School.
Personal: Pfeifer is the son of Dotty and Craig Pfeifer. His major is business management.
