Biography
Prior to NM State: Salazar played two seasons at Western New Mexico University in Silver
City, N.M. There he competed at No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles for the
Mustangs as a freshman and sophomore. In 2008, Salazar was named to the RMAC
All-Conference team in singles and doubles and an ITA Scholar Athlete. Before
attending WNMU, Salazar had a Top 20 ranking in the Southwest Section and he
graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque, N.M.
Personal:
Salazar was born in Albuquerque, N.M. and is the son of Gloria and Louis
Salazar. He is majoring in electrical engineering.
