Freshman (2012-13): Manivannan spent his first season with the Aggies as a contributor during doubles play. He finished 19-7 on the year with 12 of those wins coming during the spring season. Manivannan and Daniel Fernandez worked to a 17-6 record on the year, with nine wins and just four losses in the spring. The duo had a four-match winning streak during tournament season that included a win over No. 58 Denver and Aggie teammates Luis Ramirez and Marc Westgate. The freshman finished the spring season on a four-match hot streak again; three of those with Fernandez and the final win of the season at the 2013 WAC Championships with teammate Yannik Blank. The pair won at court three over the Pioneers 9-8 (6). Playing primarily at the No. 3 court, Manivannan and his partner played two matches at the No. 2 court with a split record. The freshman transfer did compete individually during the fall with a 4-6 record. He earned two wins at the home-hosted Aggie Invitational and two-set wins is opponents from Air Force and Utah State to round out the season.
