Biography

Freshman (2015-16): Fall: Picked up his first collegiate win in a quarterfinal match against Jason Lee of No. 51 San Francisco 6-2, 6-0 in the Arizona Invitational…came out on top against Matt Dunn of Arizona 6-3, 6-1 in the same tournament…defeated Northern Arizona’s Adi Zilberstein in his final match at the Balloon Fiesta 6-4, 6-4…went 8-3 in doubles play, including a four-straight to start the year to claim the Aggie Invitational doubles title with Enrique Asmar…after dropping their first match at the Arizona Invite, Springer and Asmar won their next two before dropping the semifinal match in consolation play…also grabbed a pair of wins at the Balloon Fiesta Invite, downing No. 53 Denver’s pair of Mark Ihrig and Zach Fryer 8-6 and Northern Arizona’s duo of Zilberstein and Jackson Lee.
 
Prior to NM State: Four-star recruit coming out of junior circuit according to TennisRecruiting.com…was ranked No. 21 in Florida, No. 45 in the southeast and 203 nationally…tallied a 13-8 record vs rated players, including a 5-0 mark against 3-star players and 1-2 mark vs 5-star players…was also 1-5 against 4-star players…went a combined 11-0 against 3-star or lower opponents.
 
Personal: Son of Ladd and Angel Springer…brother played at South Florida…undecided on major.
