Biography

Junior (2013-14): Pfister went 15-4 in singles play playing mainly in the fifth spot where he went 13-2 finishing the season in a four game winning streak. Pfister won his first match of the season against Southern Miss’ Chao-Yu Huang (2/1) in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. Against WAC opponents, Pfister went 2-0 in singles play for the season, defeating Idaho 6-1, 6-2 (Feb. 16) and Kansas City 6-2, 6-4 (Feb. 7). Pfister was 6-2 in doubles play with partner Paul Denele. The duo won its first match against UC Davis (3/14), 8-3. The duo won three matches in-a-row twice during the season with their last three wins coming at the Aggie Tennis Center. The pair earned second team All-WAC for their work on the doubles court.

Sophomore (2012-13): Finishing with a singles record of 14-9, Pfister went 9-6 at the sixth position for the Aggies. He went on a five-match sin streak in April that included four conference wins. He won each of those five in straight sets and only allowed three matches all season to go to three sets. He lost is two singles matches during the fall portion of the season, but came back to claim two wins to kick off the spring. One of his first spring wins included a 6-2, 6-2 win at the fifth position against No. 61 David Pollack of fourth-ranked Scottsdale Community College. Pfister and teammate Paul Denele teamed up for one doubles match in the spring of 2013, an 8-3 win at the third court over SCC. His doubles record for the 12-13 season was 4-1 with two wins and just one loss during the Aggie invitational with partner Jeremy Harlas.

Freshman (2011-2012):  Pfister started his career as an Aggie in both singles and doubles competition.  Pfister set a mark of 8-6 overall in singles competition and went 2-2 in WAC including a win against Nevada (4/6).  Pfister had a three-match win streak that came during a 4-2 singles stretch from March through April.

Prior to NM State:  Pfister played three seasons at the secondary school level in Germany where his team finished among the top three each season, including a first-place finish in 2010. He was an under-16 and under-18 state champion and won multiple tournament titles on the junior circuit.

Personal:  Pfister is from Dresden, Germany, and is the son of Jean-Claude Pfister and Kornelia Kluegel.
