Biography
2013 Indoor (Sophomore): Nichols did not compete in the 2013 indoor season.
2012 Outdoor (Freshman): Nichols began her collegiate career at NM State in the 2012 outdoor season by competing in the javelin throw. Nichols notched her best mark at the 2012 Texas State Bobcat Classic (April 27) with a distance of 39.90m, putting her eighth all-time in the NM State record books. Nichols also competed at the WAC Championships (May 8), placing 12th overall.
2012 Indoor (Freshman): Nichols did not participate in the 2012 indoor season.
High School: Nichols attended Los Alamos High School where she competed in track and volleyball. Nichols lettered in track all four years of high school, competing in the javelin. Nichols helped her team win three consecutive state championships, spanning from 2008-10. Nichols was the individual state champion in the javelin in 2010 and also set a school record for the event as well.
Personal: Nichols is the daughter of Art and Jana Nichols. She was born in Los Alamos, N.M., and is majoring in animal science.
