2013 Indoor (Sophomore): Hawk competed in middle distance and distance events for the Aggies in the 2013 indoor season, ranging from the 800m to the 3,000m. At the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 21), Hawk finished sixth overall in the 1-mile with a time of 4:58.84, earning her second team All-WAC honors. Hawk also finished sixth overall in the 3,000m at the WAC Championships as well, posting a time of 10:11.54 for second team All-WAC honors. One of Hawk’s best performances came at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational (Jan. 25) where she finished second overall in the 1-mile with a time of 4:58.64, the seventh-best time in the conference and the new overall school record for NM State. Hawk also competed in the 3,000m, posting her season-best time of 9:47.30 at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational for second overall in the event. Hawk’s time placed her fifth in the conference and second in the NM State record books. Hawk also competed in the 800m, posting her best time of 2:18.11 at the New Mexico Cherry and Silver Invitational (Jan. 18), which placed her seventh all-time for NM State.
2012 Outdoor (Freshman): Hawk competed in the 800m and the 1,500m for the Aggies in the 2012 outdoor season. Hawk was named to the second team All-WAC in the 1,500m when she placed fifth overall with a time of 4:44.60 at the WAC Championships (May 8). Hawk posted her best time in the 1,500m at the Texas State Bobcat Classic with a time of 4:44.36. In the 800m, Hawk posted her best time of 2:19.37 at the Michael Johnson/Dr. Pepper Classic (April 21). Hawk also competed in the 4x400m relay, helping her team post a season-best time of 4:07.83 at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational (April 6).
2012 Indoor (Freshman): Hawk was named to the second team all-WAC in the distance medley. Hawk ran a combination of middle distance and distance events during the 2012 indoor season. Hawk posted her best time in the 1-mile at the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 23) with a time of 5:20.08. Hawk ran the 4,000m distance medley twice, posting her team's season-best time of 12:35.58 at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational (Jan. 27). Hawk also competed in the 800m, the 3,000m and the 4x400m relay.
2012 Cross Country (Sophomore): Hawk had a great sophomore season for the Aggies during the 2012 cross country season, competing in six of the eight events on the NM State schedule. Hawk had her best overall and team finish at the Grand Canyon Invitational (Oct. 6) when she finished seventh overall and second for NM State with a time of 18:53.2 in the 5K. Hawk put on her best time at the WAC Championships (Oct. 27) when she finished 24th overall and fourth for NM State with a time of 18:26.74. Hawk finished in the top 10 overall in the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 7) and the Kachina Classic (Sept. 15). Hawk finished the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational with a time of 19:27.15, good for fifth place for NM State and eighth place overall; and finished the Kachina Classic with a time of 18:56, good for fourth place for NM State and ninth place overall. Haw also competed well at the Lobo Invitational (Aug. 31) and the Rim Rock Classic (Sept. 29).
2011 Cross Country (Freshman): Hawk ran in four events for the Aggies during her freshman season in 2011. Hawk posted her best team finish and her best time of the season at the Grand Canyon Invitational (Oct. 8) when she finished fourth for NM State and 19th overall with a time of 19:48.9 in the 6K. Hawk also ran in the Lobo Invitational (Sept. 3), the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 10) and the Kachina Classic (Sept. 17).
High School: Hawk attended Eldorado High School in Albuquerque, N.M., where she competed in track and cross country from 2008-11. Hawk lettered in track all four years and lettered in cross country for two years. Hawk was named to the All-Harrier team in 2011. Hawk placed third in state competition in the 1,600m in 2011 and fifth in the 800m in 2008. Hawk was listed as All-City in cross country in 2010. Hawk helped her team win state championships in 2009 and 2010, the medley state championship in 2008, and a district championship in 2008.
Personal: Hawk is the daughter of Robert and Christina Hawk and is majoring in secondary education.
