New Mexico State University Athletics

High School:  Kristen is 5-9, pitcher from The Colony, Texas (The Colony High School) where she led the Cougars to a fifth-place district 9-4A finish. Throughout her senior campaign, Kristin was a First Team All-District 9-4A selection, an academic All-District 9-4A selection, named the teams’ defensive player of the year, earned the United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award and was a member of the Tana Jo Thomason Memorial All-Tournament squad.  Kristin posted 18 wins and 12 loses.  Her ERA was 0.34, while accumulating 306 strikeouts and allowing only 52 walks the entire season.  As a junior Kristin was selected to the First Team All-District 8-4A and named the Cougars Defensive Player of the Year.  During her sophomore season she was selected to Second Team All-District 8-4A team, along with being named the teams’ most valuable offensive player and was named to the Distrcrict 8-4A Honorable Mention Team as a freshman.

Academic:  Kristen was a three-year member of the National Honor Society in high school and on the honor roll.  She has not decided on a major.

Personal:  Kristen is the daughter of Deana and Charles Marris and was born in San Angelo, Texas.
