Biography

2006: The 2006 NMSU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Sandlin maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout her undergraduate studies. On the field, she made 28 starts in 44 games, mostly in right field. Sandlin batted .244 with 10 runs scored and seven stolen bases in nine attempts.

2005:Sandlin batted .274 with two RBI while starting 26 of 56 games for the Aggies. Her 10 stolen bases ranked her third on the team and tops among 2006 returnees. She was voted the top academic junior in the Communication Disorders department.

High School: Sandlin is a graduate of Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. While at Lake Travis, Kasey was selected First Team All District (1998-2001). In 2000, she was named a Regional Finalist.

Personal: Kasey Sandlin was born in Austin, Texas and is the daughter of Larry and Linda Sandlin. She is majoring in Communication Disorders.
