Biography

High School:  Uthe is a 2008 graduate of Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita, Calif., where she lettered in softball for four years. The utility right-handed pitcher was named to the 2008 & 2007 second team All-Foothill League, which was a two-year old league. She was also selected to the 2006 All-City Second Team, a 2007 Hart Tournament MVP, a 2007 High Desert Classic MVP, was on the 2007 Los Angeles Daily News Player to Watch and ranked within the top-five throughout her high school career in batting average in both the Foothill league and Freelance CIF League. Throughout Uthe’s high school career she had a .542 batting average with 24 doubles, 15 triples and 15 home runs.  She had 143 hits, 96 RBIs and was only stuck out 12 times in her career.

 

Academics:  Uthe is majoring in Animal Science at NMSU and has long-term goals of working in the health and care of large livestock.

 

Personal:  Uthe is the daughter of Carrol Uthe and Cathy Cavella and was born in Northridge, Calif.
