Sophomore (2007): She started all but one game on the year at shortstop, but played in all 58 games. Hitting .228 on the year, she had 34 hits, seven doubles, three home runs, scored 24 runs and had 16 RBI. She was named to the 2007 Troy Cox Classic All-Tournament team, where she hit .538 in the five Aggie victories in the tournament with three doubles and five RBI. In the first game of that tournament against Central Michigan on Feb. 16, Hanan went 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBI and she scored one run. She drove in a career-high four runs in the first game of a twin bill with Western New Mexico on May 1, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run. Her first career homer as an Aggie was a solo shot against Colorado State in just sixth games in the crimson and white. She drew three walks on Feb. 18 against Loyola Marymount. Her quickness and strong arm was shown off all season at short, as she made many outstanding plays in the field.
Prior to NMSU: Hanan spent her freshman year at McNeese State University where she batted .247 with 36 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs and had 27 RBI.
High School: A first team all-district selection in softball in 2004 and 2005 and a member of the 2004 Texas All-State Team. She was second team all district in 2001 and 2002. In 2004, her softball team was the state runner-up under coach Dale Fontenot and they were district champions from 2002-2005. She was selected to the Golden Triangles Gold First Team. Hanan was a two-time all-district honoree in volleyball.
Academics: She is majoring in kinesiology.
Personal: Hanan is the daughter of Mona and Gary Hanan and she was born in Nederland, Texas. She has aspirations on becoming a physical therapists one day.
