Junior
(2010): Randall capped off her junior season tied for the all-time NM
State career record in stolen bases at 63 matching longtime record holder Abbie
Sodaro (1995-96). That mark ranks
ninth all-time in the WAC. Randall stole 29 bases in 2010 in 35 attempts, the
most steals in a season since 1998 to lead the team and the WAC. Randall earned
All-WAC Second team honors as a junior. Primarily leading off the batting
order, Randall came through with a .356 batting average while starting all 55
games. Randall connected on a career high 68 hits in 191 at-bats and earned 17
walks to result in her best on-base percentage of .414. The utility player
posted the most multi-hit games on the team with 21. On defense Randall spent
most of her time at second base with a career high .968 fielding percentage.
Her 92 assists was second on the team and helped the team rank seventh
nationally in double plays per game. Randall earned Academic All-WAC honors in
2010.
Sophomore
(2009): Randall appeared in 51 games and started 49 of them at shortstop.
She ranked fourth on the team with a .471 batting average and led the WAC in
stolen bases with 22 on 26 attempts. Randall also scored 34 times, had 14 RBIs,
four doubles, a team-high four triples, one home run and had a .410 on-base
percentage and a .470 slugging percentage. She was named to the 2009 WAC
All-Tournament Team after going 4-for-8 in the box with a run scored and a RBI
in the tournament. Randall had 18 multi-hit performances and had an eight-game
hitting streak, ranking fourth on the team in both categories. She tied the
single-game doubles record of two against Samford, Feb. 20, where she went
3-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs en route to earning NM State its 700th
program victory. Versus Boise State, April 17, she went 2-for-2, tied a
season-best with three runs scored, had a RBI, a triple, stole a base and was
walked. On three different occasions Randall stole two bases in a game (UMKC,
Feb. 8, UTEP, Feb. 19, and Nevada, May 6).
Freshman
(2008): Randall played in
54 games for the Aggies as a freshman, making 38 starts in the infield at
second (17) and shortstop (21). She had the second-longest hitting streak on
the team with hits in 10 consecutive games. Randall hit .308 on the year and
ranked second on the team in stolen bases, swiping 12 on 16 attempts, That tied
her for eighth place in the WAC. She crossed the plate 17 times, had five RBIs
and three doubles. Randall went 3-for-3 at the plate against Georgetown, March,
5, while scoring two runs. During the middle of conference play, March 29-April
20, Randall hit .545 while going 18-for-33 at the dish. She scored five runs,
had two RBIs and stole three bases on as many attempts during the 10-game
stretch.
High
School: Randall is a utility player from Chula Vista, Calif. and a 2007
graduate of Bonita Vista High School where she helped the Barons to four
straight Mesa League Championships, recording a perfect league 10-0 record her
senior year. Throughout her high school campaign, Randall was voted best defensive
player from 2004-07 and she also tabbed the team's best offensive player in
2006. She capped off her senior season hitting an impressive .443 with seven
RBIs and one home run.
Personal: Randall is the daughter of Dona Provencher and Craig
Randall and was born in Hemet, Calif. Her sister, Kristi Randall, played at New
Mexico State from 2006-10 and holds the school record for most doubles and runs
scored in a career.
