New Mexico State University Athletics

Senior (2015): Diaz concluded her Aggie career by making four appearances in relief her senior year.  She pitched 5.1 innings while striking out two and walking five.  For her two-year NM State career she pitched 11.1 innings and finished with three strikeouts while allowing 14 walks.

Junior (2014): Diaz saw action in five games for the Aggies in 2014 as a relief pitcher.  In six innings pitched, she recorded one strikeout and only gave up two extra base hits.  She pitched 0.1 innings in the five-inning win over Binghamton (3/1) and worked 0.2 innings in the 4-3 win over Northern Colorado during the Troy Cox Classic. 

Prior to NM State: Diaz played for Howard College for two seasons as pitcher and placed third at Regionals her last season there. She achieved All-Region, All-Conference and saw the team through two Conference Champions in 2012 and 2013. Diaz had a 15-2 record and 2.56 ERA.

High School: Diaz attended Mayfield High School where she was positioned as pitcher all four years. During her junior year, Mayfield placed as district champs. She was awarded an Honorable Mention during her senior year in 2011.

Personal: Diaz is the daughter of Robert and Virginia Diaz and majored in nursing. She is originally from Las Cruces, N.M.
