Freshman (2006): Lopez appeared in 13 games and made two starts in the circle during her freshman season, accumulating a 7.41 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 22.2 innings. Although the Aggies eventually won the game by eight runs, she earned her first career save in a 15-7 run-ruling of Louisiana Tech on April 1. Lopez entered the game with two out in the top of the fifth with the Aggies ahead 10-7 and the tying run in the on-deck circle. She induced the batter to ground out on the first pitch and received credit for the save when NMSU ended the game with a five-run outburst in the bottom of the frame.

High School: Lopez is a 2005 graduate of Etiwanda HS in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., where she played for head coach David Masucci. A three-time team MVP, Lopez served as team captain her junior and senior seasons. She was named to the Inland Valley All-Star team and All-Baseline League teams as a senior as well as earning the EHS Female Athlete of the Year award. Her Etiwanda squad finished no lower than third in the Baseline League during her four years, tying for the title in 2003 and winning the 2002 California Interscholastic Federation championship.

Academics: She is undecided on her major at NMSU.

Personal: Lopez was born in San Dimas, California and is the daughter of Rick and Kelli Lopez.
