Freshman (2009): Byrne took a redshirt in her first season with the Aggies.

High School:  Byrne is a 2008 graduate of Cactus High School in Glendale, Ariz., where she lettered in softball all four seasons. The right-handed pitcher led the Cobras three state appearances and the state championship as a sophomore. Throughout her high school campaign Byrne earned first team all-region and second team all-state honors. As a sophomore, Byrne collected second team all-region and honorable mention all-state awards. She had a batting average of .400 with 44 hits, while driving in 26 runs.  In the circle, Byrne posted a 0.00 ERA in her five starts where she faced 125 batters. As a freshman, Byrne was selected to the first team all-region as a first baseman. In the box she batted .357 and had 30 hits along with 17 RBIs. In the circle, Byrne started seven games and had an ERA of 0.79.

Personal:  Byrne is the daughter of Raymond and Kim Byrne and was born in San Diego, Calif. She is majoring in secondary education.
