2006: Seagraves compiled a 17-14 record with a 2.54 ERA and 184 strikeouts in 203.2 innings this season, ranking third in the WAC in wins, strikeouts and innings pitched. Her career totals of 39 victories, 14 shutouts and 425 strikeouts are good for fourth place in the Aggie record books. Top performances for Seagraves this season included a one-hit shutout of Colorado State with 10 strikeouts in the season opener on February 9, a career-high 13 K game in a win over Portland State, a two-hit shutout against Bethune-Cookman, a five-hit shutout at Hawai’i, a nine-strikeout, four-hit shutout at Utah State and an eight-strikeout blanking of San Jose State in the WAC Tournament. Her season strikeout total of 184 ranks her fifth in school history and made her the only player in program history to register two of the top five season totals in that category.
2005: Seagraves had an excellent first season with the Aggies, earning Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year honors following a season in which she went 22-21 with a 2.32 ERA and 241 strikeouts in 274 innings. The win and strikeout totals are both NMSU single-season records.
Previous Schools: Sarah attended Eastern Oklahoma Junior College in 2004, where she ended the regular season leading the nation in total strikeouts with 335, second in the nation in strikeouts per inning, averaging 1.45 K's per inning, No. 10 in the NJCAA statistical report with an ERA of .638. She also earned several pitcher of the week honors. As a freshman at Oklahoma State in 2003, Seagraves compiled an 11-1 record with a 1.94 ERA in 119 innings pitched. She led the Cowgirls to a second place 13-5 Big XII record (39-15 overall).
High School: Sarah is a 2002 graduate of Edmond Memorial High School. At EMHS, she was a three-time Edmond Player of the year. She also earned Big City Player of the Year with an ERA of .40.
Personal: Sarah Christine Seagraves was born in Edmond, Okla., and is the daughter of Jack and Marqueeta Seagraves. She is majoring in elementary education.
