New Mexico State University Athletics

Freshman (2014): Washington started one game during her freshman campaign with NM State but was seen pinch-hitting eight times during the season. She went 2-for-12 during her time at the plate and contributed two hits for the Aggies. With a .231 on base percentage, Washington saw her best game against Incarnate Word (2/21) when she went 1-for-2 with a run scored.

High School: Washington was positioned as catcher all four years of high school at Angleton High School. She was named first team All-District in 2011-2013 and first Team All-County in 2013. She also played on the Houston Area High School All-Star team in 2013. Washington finished her season with a .313 batting average and was the team leader with 19 RBI’s.

Personal: Washington is from Angleton, Texas, and is the daughter of Sam and Becky Washington. She is majoring in Criminal Justice and hopes to work for the FBI as a Behavioral Analyst.
