Biography

Junior (2011): Jennings tied an NCAA record with five consecutive games with a home run in 2011 spanning April 9-19 during which she claimed back-to-back WAC Hitter of the Week accolades. She topped off a spectacular junior season by earning first team all-WAC and second team NFCA All-West Region honors. She was also named to the 2011 All-WAC tournament team. Jennings ranked among the top 40 nationally in four statistical categories including No. 9 in walks per game (0.89), No. 27 in on-base percentage (.517), No. 29 in runs per game (0.68) and No. 40 in total home runs (15). She also ranked in the top five among nine league statistical categories including home runs (15), RBI (64), on-base percentage (.517), walks (54), total bases (119), runs scored (59), slugging percentage (.680), batting average (.366) and hits (64). She is the current all-time Aggie batting average leader with a .374 clip at the plate heading into her final season. Jennings is poised to break the NM State career runs scored mark this season with 162 touches of the plate, just 12 behind the leader. She ranks third on the all-time home run list with 41 and on the career RBI list at 148. Jennings also ranks third all-time on the walks (86) and total bases (353) lists entering the 2012 season. With 18 multiple-hit games, Jennings ranked third on the squad and also rated third on the Aggies with 11 multiple RBI games. She blasted 15 home runs in 2011 to rank fourth on the Aggies single-season record list; just two off of her personal best set her freshman campaign. She also earned recognition on the WAC All-Academic team for the second time in her career.

Sophomore (2010): Jennings continued to help lead the Aggie offense one year removed from a remarkable rookie season. Jennings earned All-WAC First Team honors in her second season. She ranked 51st nationally with 0.89 runs per game. She also ranked among the nation's top 300 players in six other categories including her rank for toughest to strike out at No. 148 to lead the Aggies. Her team leading 48 runs scored ranked tied for fifth in the WAC. Jennings' .349 batting average stood 12th in the WAC and third on the squad. Her career slugging percentage of .680 ranks fifth all-time in the WAC after two seasons. Jennings set two personal record during the season with six at-bats at San Jose State on May 8. In that game she went 3-for-6 on the day with a home run, three

RBI and two runs scored. On Feb. 13 she registered a career high four runs against UTSA in a game where she matched her career high with four hits. Jennings ranked second on the team with 100 total bases and nine doubles. She was third on the team with 60 hits, a .581 slugging percentage and 10 steals. With 16 multiple-hit games, Jennings ranked fourth on the squad she also rated third on the Aggies with eight multiple RBI games. With nine home runs, Jennings is tied for fifth all-time at NM State with 26 career home runs.

Freshman (2009): Jennings as a true freshman earned a spot on the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-West Region first team, becoming the first freshman in school history to receive that honor. She set six single-game records for the Aggies' nationally ranked offense. Jennings went 70-for-172 in the box with a .407 batting average. She led the team in home runs (17), RBIs (61), runs scored (55); total bases (115) and slugging percentage (.779) - all of which set new school records. Jennings also tied the single-season hit record (70) and had the second highest batting average in a season (.407). Additionally, Jennings had 13 doubles and stole six bases on six attempts. She was named a second team All-WAC honoree and a WAC Hitter of the Week for her impressive performance at the UTEP Invitational, Feb. 18-21. There she went 9-for-17 in the box five homers and had 18 RBIs over the five games stretch. Against Cal State Northridge, Feb. 19, Jennings hit a two-run home run and then followed that performance up with a pair of bombs against tournament host UTEP, Feb. 19. The first was a three-run home run and the second was a leadoff homer in the top of the sixth to bring the Aggies within one run. Jennings earned a spot on both the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces and Troy Cox Classic All-Tournament Teams, which is also the first time in the program's history for a freshman to earn a spot on both teams. At the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces Tournament, Feb. 6-9, Jennings went 6-for-14 in the box, hit two home runs and scored five times. In the Troy Cox Classic, Feb. 12-14, she had seven RBI; scored 10 runs, hit four doubles and one home run. She hit two home runs in three different games to tie the Aggie single-game record. Jennings also led the team in multi-hit games (22), multi-RBI games (16) and tied for first with the longest hitting steak of the season (11). Jennings recorded a hit in all but 12 of the 54 games she played in as a freshman.

High School: Jennings was a 2008 graduate of Pitman High School where she lettered in softball and basketball all four years and soccer for two. She hit a team-high .599 at the plate her senior season, while being selected as a first team all-league and first team all-district performer. She was also voted the team's most valuable player and won the most athletic senior classman award. As a junior, Jennings hit a solid .699 at the dish and earned Central California All-Conference honors. She also participated in basketball and soccer where she led the Grizzlies to league championships in both sports her sophomore and junior seasons. On the hardwood, Jennings earned all-league honors for her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was the team's most valuable player. She also holds the school record for the most points scored in a game with 35. On the soccer field, she scored 28 goals during her two-year stint and was an all-district and all-league selection for both seasons.

Personal: Jennings is the daughter of Andy and Taase Jennings and was born in Killeen, Texas. Her uncle, Mike Fanoga, is the outside linebackers coach at Wyoming. She is a criminal justice major.
