Biography

2009-10 (JUNIOR): Bowerman-Ritchie played in eight tournaments (24 rounds) for NM State during the 2009-10 season.  She averaged 79.79 strokes per round and had a low round of 71 in the second round of the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic (9/14).  She finished in a tie for 45th in that tournament, which was her second best finish of the year. Her best finish came at the WAC Women's Golf Championship when she came in 10th.  There she marked rounds of 76-75-80 for an 18-over 231.  She had 31 birdies on the year and one eagle, as she averaged just over nine pars per round. 

2008-09 (SOPHOMORE): Bowerman-Ritchie had a low round of 73 when she played as an individual at the "Price's Give 'Em Five" Invitational (10/15) in Las Cruces, N.M.  She posted her best finish at the Pepperdine Wave Invitational (3/17) where she tied for 19th with a two-round score of 154 (76-78). Bowerman-Ritchie played in eight tournaments, averaging 80.65 strokes per round. She tied for 29th at the conference championship with a score of 236.

2007-08 (FRESHMAN):  Bowerman-Ritchie played in eight tournaments during the 2007-08 season and her best finish was a tie for fourth in the NAU/La Quinta Mountain Inn Shootout.  In the 22 rounds she played, Bowerman-Ritchie averaged 79.36 strokes per round.  Her lowest round was a 71 in round three of the Jeannine McHaney/Audrey Morehead Invitational (10/9).  Collins earned her second consecutive top-10 finish of the year after she tied for ninth and carded a 9-over-par 228 in that tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL: Bowerman-Ritchie ranked No. 1 in the Canadian Junior Golf Association in national merit points as she earned three wins and eight top-10 finishes.  Bowerman-Ritchie played in the 2006 Callaway Junior World Championships at Torrey Pines and in the Coaches Tournament and Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where she was the runner-up.  Bowerman-Ritchie was a member of Team Canada in 2006 for the CJGA Euro Cup where she helped the team win all six of its matches.  On the national level in Canada, Bowerman-Ritchie placed fourth at the Nike Golf Junior Championship and second at the CJGA Mizuno Eastern Canadian Championship.  She also had a sixth-place finish at the Mizuno CJGA National Golf Championship at National Pines.  In the province of Ontario, Bowerman-Ritchie's home province, she had six first place finishes, including a first-place medal at the CJGA Euro Cup Qualifier, the CJGA Junior Worlds Qualifier and the CJGA Team East Qualifier.  In 2005, Bowerman-Ritchie placed second at the CJGA Worlds Qualifier, tied for second at the Ontario Junior Masters College Preview, won the CJGA Canada Cup Qualifier and the CJGA Nike Junior Series, along with many other five other top-10 finishes.

PERSONAL:  Lauren 'Buz' Bowerman-Ritchie is the daughter of Ian and Robin Bowerman-Ritchie and was born in Oshawa, Ontario.  She is undecided in a major.
