Former Denver standout Sophie Newlove, a 2018-19 All-Summit League First Team honoree and a four-time WGCA All-American Scholar, joined the NM State women's golf program as a graduate assistant in December 2019.
The native of Nottingham, England, was a member of the 2018-19 Summit League All-Tournament Team, as well as the 2018-19 Summit League All-Academic Team. She captured Summit League Championship MVP honors and All-Summit League Second Team recognition in 2017-18.
Newlove, who graduated from Denver in 2019, was named to the All-Summit League First Team after a stellar senior season. She posted a 75.27 scoring average in 2018-19, securing four top-10 finishes, including two top-five finishes, during the campaign.
