Made her collegiate debut at the nationally televised NB3 Matchplay at Twin Warriors in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M… Later competed in the Bruin Wave Invitational in Valencia, Calif… Also participated as an alternate in the Conference USA Championships.
 
PRIOR TO NM STATE
Before joining the Aggies, Thompson built an exceptional junior golf résumé while excelling academically at McKinney Boyd High School… A member of the National Honor Society, she earned three consecutive Academic Excellence Awards and multiple Academic All-District and Academic All-State honors... On the course, Thompson was a two-time Texas UIL 6A State Championship Medalist Qualifier (2021, 2023) — first earning a spot as a solo freshman — and was named McKinney Boyd’s Most Valuable Player in both her junior and senior seasons… She collected First Team All-District recognition, multiple State Athlete Awards, and distinctions such as State Farm Scholar Athlete of the Week… Her junior golf career featured record-setting performances and success at elite tournaments… She posted a career-best nine-hole score of 29 (-7) in June 2023, highlighted by two eagles and three birdies, and fired a 65 in September 2022 to set the course record and tie the Texas Junior Golf Tour’s all-time lowest 18-hole score… Thompson qualified for national championships including the Junior PGA Championship, USGA Girls’ Junior Championship, and the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship... She has claimed multiple titles across the NTPGA and TJGT tours, including wins at the NTPGA All American Tour at The Bridges, the VGA Invitational, and the NTPGA VOA Classic Championship Qualifier… Her selection to the 2023 Ben Hogan Cup Championship Team further underscored her status as one of the region’s elite junior golfers... Emma is the daughter of Bary and Jill Thompson. Her sister, Paige Thompson, was a four-year student-athlete at the University of Oklahoma on the women’s soccer team.
