Biography

Junior: Erin played in nine tournaments for the Aggies during the 2004-05 season. She shot the season’s team-best round of 69 at Price’s “Give ?Em Five” Intercollegiate (10/4-5) in Las Cruces, where she took second place with a 2-over-par 76-69-71. Erin’s three top-20 finishes included the Sun Belt Conference Championships (4/18-20), where she shot a 13-over-par 76-78-77?231 to place sixth. She recorded a scoring average of 77.00 for the season.

 

Junior College: Kato competed for two seasons at Mount San Antonio Junior College where she helped lead her team to 42 victories in two years. She was named first team all-league in 2002-03 and league MVP in 2003-04. Her team won state championship in 2002-03 and finished second in 2003-04. Individually, Erin finished second at the state competition as a sophomore in 2003-04. Her team also won the Monterey Bay Tournament two years in a row.

High School: Erin earned first team all-league honors all four years of high school while playing four years at Los Altos High School. She captained her high school team and qualified for the CIF Championship.

Personal: Erin Mieko Kato was born in Hilo, Hawaii. She is the daughter of Ron and Diane Kato. She is majoring in Business Management and Professional Golf Management.
