Biography

2016-17: Earned second team All-WAC for the second time in her career...played in eight tournaments and posted the fourth best scoring average on the team at 75.41...a pair of top-5 finishes...placed fourth in the season-opening Red Raider Invitational with a three-day total of 219 (72-73-74)...won the NM State Aggie Invitational for her second career win with a three-round score of 71-71-75 -- 217.

2015-16: Competed in 10 tournaments and posted the fifth-best scoring average on the team at 76.69…second best tournament of the season came in the opener at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic, posting a two-day total of 8-over 150 and tied for 17th…shot a season-best round of 70 in the final round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational to finish tied for 30th…won the Western Athletic Conference Championship individual title and the helped the Aggies win the team title with a three-day score of 74-71-72—217…shot a 235 card at the NCAA Shoal Creek Regional as the Aggies finished in ninth…earned Academic All-WAC honors.
 
2014-15 (Grand Canyon): Earned second team All-WAC after placing seventh at the 2015 WAC Championships with a 74-79-73—226 card for Grand Canyon…recorded three top 5 finishes, five top 10 finishes and a total of six top 20 performances in 12 tournaments for the Lopes…second on the GCU team with a 76.58 stroke average…placed second at the Montana State Bobcat Spring Invitational with a 3-over 219…posted best round of the year with a 3-under 69 in the second round of the Jackrabbit Invitational.
 
High School: Presented the Outstanding Golfer Award at Thatcher (Ariz.) High…due to the fact that Thatcher High School did not have a girl's golf team, she played on the boys' team throughout high school, during which time she tied for third in the State D-III Championship out of 96 boys...that accomplishment earned her the title of Courier Golfer of the Year…also named honorable mention all-district for her efforts as a basketball player.
 
Personal: Daughter of Brian and Sharon Montoya…has an older brother, Logan, and a younger brother, Rhett…majoring in professional golf management.
