Biography
2015-16: Was sixth on the team during her junior campaign with a 76.94 stroke average…competed in 6 tournaments and 16 rounds with her best finish coming in at 15th in the NM State Invitational (5-over 221)…also fired in a season-low 4-under 68 card in the second round of the NM State Invitational…opened the season with a Top-30 (T28) performance at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic with rounds of 77-75—152…performed well at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, shooting a 12-over 228 to complete the Invitational tied for 34th.
2014-15: Competed in 8 tournaments with a 78.41 stroke average, good for fifth on the team…opened the campaign with a 10-over 226 performance at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate, which was good for seventh place…followed up with a 34th-place finish at the NM State Invitational, including a season-best 1-under 71 in the opening round… finished 11th at the Western Athletic Conference Golf Championship with a 12-over 228 after an even par 72 in the first round…placed 81st at the NCAA St. George Regional after a 3-round total of 245.
2013-14: Competed in five tournaments as a freshman for the Aggies and wrapped the year up with a 78.13 scoring average…helped NM State capture the Western Athletic Conference Championship with a 14th-place finish…finished with an 82-80-83—245 (+32) card in her first NCAA Regional at St. George…opened up her collegiate career with 227 card at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Intercollegiate, including a season-best 1-over 73 in the final round.
High School: Was a four-year letter winner for golf at Socorro High School, two years in volleyball and two years in basketball…helped guide the Warriors to both district and state championships her entire prep career (2009-13)…also claimed individual state championships in 2010, 2012 and 2013 while capturing district titles in 2010 and 2012…Cline also excelled in the classroom, being named her SHS’ salutatorian and was a member of the National Honor Society all four years.
Personal: Daughter of George and Berizana Cline…older sister, Kayla, played golf at Winthrop University…majoring in communication disorders.
