Biography
2015-16: Played in 10 tournaments with a final scoring average of 76.28…had a strong start to the season, tying for 16th at the NM State Invitational with a 6-over 222 and season-low 72 in her final round…followed up with a tied for 16th performance at the at Rainbow Wahine Invitational with a 10-over 226 card…tied for 36th at the Red Raider Invitational with a 227…played a big role in the Aggies Western Athletic Conference Championship title, finishing tied for seventh with a 10-over 226 card and a 1-over 73 in the final round…tied for 47th at the NCAA Shoal Creek Regional and fired in a card of 77-77-80—234.
2014-15: Saw action in 10 tournaments and finished the season with a 75.67 scoring average, good for fourth on the team…best round of the year was a 72, which she carded on three occasions…best tournament of the season came in the season-opening tournament at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic where she carded a 4-over 146, good for a sixth-place finish…tied for 20th at the NM State Aggie Invitational with a 3-over 219…helped the Aggies to a WAC Championship after posting a three-round score of 76-72-75—223 (-7)…traveled with the team to the NCAA St. George Regional where she posted a final total of 236, with her best day coming in round one (77).
2013-14: Macias was one of only two Aggie golfers to play in all 11 tournaments during the 2013-14 season…finished her freshman campaign with a 78.67 scoring average and tied for the team lead with 46 birdies on the season…came in third at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational where she carded a 6-over 222, including a season-best 1-under 71 in the final round…tied for 19th at the Mountain View Collegiate with a 5-over 221…shot a season-best 4-over 220 at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic with her second top-5 finish and helped NM State win its first tournament title in over three years…guided NM State to its first-ever Western Athletic Conference title with a 12th-place finish…also saw action at the NCAA St. George Regional where she carded a 78-76-74—228 (+15).
Before NM State: Macias graduated from Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Jalisco (COBAEJ) located in Guadalajara, Jalisco…took home medalist honors at the Barton Creek Junior Championship and at the Woodland Panther Trail Jr. Championship…also captured the Texas Collegiate Amateur Tour title in San Antonio.
Personal: Daughter of Roberto Macias Suarez and Rosario Saltijeral…has two older sisters, Mariluz and Viviana, and an older brother, Roberto…played alongside sister Viviana for three years NM State…majoring in hotel, restaurant and tourism management.
