2013-14 (SOPHOMORE): Macias had a breakout season during her sophomore campaign at NM State, becoming one of the team leaders on a squad that reached the NCAA West Regional. She led the team with a 76.27 scoring average and holed 44 birdies after competing in 10 of 11 tournaments on the season for the Aggies.
Macias had a total of five rounds at par or better, including shooting 1-under-par 71, her career best, three times. She became only the 20th golfer in the program’s history to shoot at least five rounds at par or better in one season. Her par-4 shooting average of 4.2424 is the 14th-best average for a season in NM State history.
After no top-20 finishes as a freshman, Macias had an incredible run of seven-consecutive tournaments finishing inside the top 20, culminating with a career-best second-place finish at the WAC Championship (Apr. 25-27), four strokes from being crowned WAC champion, en route to becoming the top Aggie finisher on a team that won its first-ever WAC title. In all, she would be the team’s top finisher in a team-high five tournaments and would also tie for the top finisher at the NCAA West Regional. Along with her second-place finish at the WAC Championship, Macias would also finish in a tie for fourth at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational (Oct. 29-31), 10th at the Mountain View Collegiate (Mar. 28-29), where she marked a career-best total score of 2-over 218, and in a tie for 10th at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic (Apr. 7-8) to help the Aggies to a tournament victory.
After her performance at the Mountain View Collegiate, Macias would be named the WAC Women’s Golfer of the Week. At the conclusion of the season, she would be honored as an All-WAC first team member.
2012-13 (FRESHMAN): Macias joined the NM State team during the spring semester in 2013 and participated in all five spring tournaments, including the WAC Women’s Golf Championship (April 22-24) where she finished in 30th place with a total score of 23-over-par 239, a couple of shots behind her best total score of the season. Macias finished the season with a scoring average of 82.00 and 18 birdies in only 15 rounds played. Her best tournament of the season was the BYU at Entrada Classic (March 18-19) where she had her low score for a round (3-over 75), best total score (21-over 237) and finished in a tie for 45th place.
