Biography
2008-09 (Sophomore): Schulte improved on the boards for the Aggies in her sophomore campaign. She set a pair of career-best marks on the 1-meter and 3-meter at Northern Arizona (Dec. 6). Schulte’s best individual finish occurred in the regular season finale against New Mexico, which was the Aggies second consecutive win over the Lobos (Jan. 28). She was an Academic All-WAC honoree.
2007-08 (Freshman): In her first season as an Aggie, Schulte played a major part in the resurgence of NM State diving. For the first time in school history, the Aggies scored in the diving events at the WAC Championships. Schulte led the way as she scored in all three events, 1-meter (16th), 3-meter (11th) and platform (14th). She also became the first Aggie to score in the platform at the WAC meet. Her best score on the 1-meter was against North Texas (Jan. 8) with a 213.50 showing and a 209.75 performance on the 3-meter at the WAC meet (Feb. 20). At Boise State (Jan. 19), she won her first event as an Aggie when she collected top honors on the 3-meter springboard. Schulte was also a success in the classroom as she was named to the Academic All-WAC Freshmen team.
High School: Schulte arrived in Las Cruces following a senior season where she led Benson High School in Omaha, Neb., to a second-place finish in the Metro Conference. The diver also claimed runner-up honors in the league. On the 1-meter springboard, Schulte recorded a fourth-place showing at the state meet, which was a career-best finish. She was a two-time most valuable player and three-time captain for Benson. In her junior campaign, Schulte finished seventh at state improving on her 18th-place showing as a sophomore.
Personal: Schulte was born to David and Gayla Schulte in Omaha, Neb. She is majoring in individualized studies/creative media institute.
