Biography

2011-12 (Senior): As a senior, Moore finished her Aggie career with three top 16 finishes at the 2012 WAC Championships. She was 12th in the 400 IM and 16th in both the 500 free and 1,650 free. Moore had a lifetime-best time in the 400 IM (4:33.36) and season-best time in the mile (17:31.66) at the WAC meet. She recorded her season-best time in the 500 free (5:03.14) at the Houston Invitational (Nov. 17-19). Moore won four individual events during dual meet action. Against Northern Colorado (Oct. 29), she collected top honors in the 500 free and 1,000 free. Moore won the 500 free and 1,000 free in the regular season finale at New Mexico (Feb. 4). She was also a member of the Aggie relay teams.

2010-11 (Junior): In her junior campaign, Moore paced the Aggies in the distance freestyle events. She set a lifetime-best mark in the 500 free (4:59.16) at the WAC Championships with a 13th-place finish. Moore scored at the conference meet in the 1,650 free (ninth) and 400 individual medley (16th). She also anchored the 800-free relay that set a school record (7:26.99) and finished in fifth place. In the regular season, Moore began the season with a victory in the 500 free against Boise State/North Texas (Oct. 23). On the first road trip of the season, she collected second-place showings in the 1,000 free at Washington State (Nov. 5) along with the 500 free and 1,650 free at Idaho (Nov. 6). At Northern Colorado (Jan. 21), Moore was second in the 200 free before taking second in the 500 free in the regular season finale against New Mexico (Feb. 5) to help the Aggies defeat the Lobos for the fourth consecutive season.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Moore recorded lifetime-best times in the 500 free (5:00.31) and 400 individual medley (4:33.41) en route to helping the Aggies to post a program-best second-place finish at the 2010 WAC Championships. She was 10th in the 500 free and 16th in the 400 IM. Moore scored with a sixth-place showing in the 1,650 free (17:16.91). She also had a season-best time in the 100 free (53.94) and swam the third leg of the 800-free relay that finished sixth at the WAC meet. In the season opening weekend at the WAC Shoot-Out (Oct. 9-10) in San Jose, Calif., Moore collected fourth place in the 500 free on both days, and helped the Aggies to fourth in the 400-free relay as the third leg (Oct. 10). At the home opener against Northern Colorado (Oct. 30), she swam the third leg for the victorious 800-free relay. The following day against Northern Arizona/Northern Colorado (Oct. 31), she won the 500 free, finished third in the 1,000 free and anchored the 400-free relay that finished second. Against Idaho (Jan. 2), Moore won the 500 free in the home finale. She also finished second in the 500 free and third in the 1,000 free at No. 2 Arizona/Oregon State (Jan. 8). In the regular season finale at Boise State (Jan. 30), Moore was fourth in the 200 free, third in the 500 free and swam leadoff for the third-place 200-free relay.

2008-09 (Freshman): In her first season in Las Cruces, Moore helped the Aggies to a third-place finish at the WAC Championships with lifetime-best times in the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free and 400 individual medley. She was the leadoff for the 800-free relay (7:28.40) that crushed the NM State record by over eight seconds and finished in sixth place. Moore also scored with a 12th-place finish in the 400 IM and 15th-place finish in the 500 free at the conference meet. Additionally, she was 23rd in the 200 free. In her first meet as an Aggie, she had an impressive beginning with a third-place showing in the 500 free and 1,000 free at the first-ever WAC Shoot-Out (Oct. 10-11). Moore then followed that performance at Houston/Rice (Nov. 6) with a runner-up finish in the 500 free and 400-medley relay. At Northern Arizona (Dec. 6), she won the 400 free en route to the Aggies earning their first victory in Flagstaff, Ariz. Moore also collected a pair of top honors in the 500 free and 1,000 free at San Diego (Dec. 13). At Loyola Marymount (Dec. 19), she recorded her first career victory in the 200 free. Moore finished in second place in the 100 free and was a member of the winning 400-free relay at Northern Colorado (Jan. 16). The following day at Colorado State (Jan. 17), Moore claimed runner-up honors in the 500 free and 200-free relay. In the regular season finale against in-state rival New Mexico (Jan. 28), she won both the 200 free and 500 free, which guided the Aggies to its second consecutive victory over the Lobos.                       

High School: Moore joined the Aggies after graduating from Mead High School in Spokane, Wash. She competed in both the freestyle and individual medley events for the Spokane Area Swimming club and head coach Todd Marsh. Moore holds several team and Greater Spokane records. She was also a YMCA All-American and a top 16 national holder in her age group.

Personal: She is the daughter of Joseph and Kari Moore and was born in Colorado Springs, Colo. Moore is majoring in elementary education.
