2011-12 (Senior): As a senior, Smith recorded three top 20 finishes on the diving boards at the 2012 WAC Championships. She finished in eighth place on the 3-meter, 20th place on the 1-meter and 18th place on the platform. Smith set a season-best score on the 3-meter (285.30) at the conference meet. She began her senior season on a high note and swept the springboards at TCU (Oct. 21). The following day, Smith collected runner-up honors on the 1-meter and 3-meter at North Texas (Oct. 22). In the home opener against Northern Colorado (Oct. 29), she won the 3-meter. Smith concluded the regular season with a season-best score on the 1-meter (267.75) at in-state rival New Mexico (Feb. 4).

2010-11 (Junior): In her first season in Las Cruces, Smith made an impact on the boards. At the 2011 WAC Championships, she finished in seventh place on the platform. In her first meet against in-state rival New Mexico (Feb. 5), Smith recorded season-best scores on both the 1-meter (287.10) and 3-meter (289.58) springboards, which helped the Aggies defeat the Lobos for the fourth consecutive season. In the season opener against Boise State/North Texas (Oct. 22-23), Smith swept the diving events on the first day and claimed the 3-meter on the second day. Her performance garnered the Verizon WAC Diver of the Week (Oct. 26) honor. Additionally, Smith earned top honors on the 1-meter at Colorado State (Jan. 22) and on the 3-meter at Idaho (Nov. 6).

Prior to NM State: Smith brings a wealth of diving experience to the Aggie squad. She won the Pacific-10 Championship on the platform in 2008 as a freshman at Arizona. In addition, she spent two years at Midland College in Midland, Texas.

High School: She was a senior national finalist in 2006 and a multiple junior national finalist. Smith graduated from Clear Creek High School in Midland, Texas in 2007.

Personal: Smith is the daughter of Darrell and Jean Smith and was born in Austin, Texas. She is majoring in sociology.
